Sa`etak: Izmewena ekonomska i politi~ka situacija u Bugarskoj suo~ila je sve javne ustanove i institucije sa problemom adekvatnog re{avawa svakodnevnih problema gra|ana. Biblioteke nisu izuzete iz tog procesa, {tavi{e, wihova uloga je sve izra`enija u vremenu kada je potreba za pravom informacijom ~esto odgovor na socijalnu nesigurnost savremenog doba. Ovaj rad prikazuje mogu}nosti javnih biblioteka Bugarske da iza|u u susret potrebama modernog ~oveka u razli~itim sredinama, pru`awem {irokog spektra usluga putem bibliote~kih servisa, baza podataka, elektronskih kataloga i ostalih vidova organizovawa informacija.

Abstract: The changed economic and political conditions in Bulgaria have brought face to face all public agencies and institutions with the problem of an adequate solving of everyday problems of citizens. The libraries are not an exception from that process, , even on the contrary their role has been becoming more and more apparent in the times when the need for a right information is often an answer to the social uncertainty of the present time. This paper shows the possibility of the public libraries of Bulgaria to meet the needs of the contemporary man under different circumstances by providing a wide range of favors through the library service data banks, electronic catalogues and the other types of information organization.
